Derek Barksdale has spent his career working inside the building materials industry — leading teams, growing sales, improving operations, developing products, strengthening supplier relationships, and helping guide a long-standing brand through major stages of change.
His experience includes being President of an industry-leading building products manufacturer & distributor where he led a rebranding on a business with a 150-year-old heritage and led the new product development of multiple product lines into new product categories. During his tenure as President, revenue grew 150%+ in 5 years. Earlier in his career, Derek was Chief Operating Officer over a national distribution network, led Sourcing & Procurement, Sales & Marketing teams and was fortunate to build a network of industry leaders and partners around the globe.
Derek found value in working with many consultants in his career, but felt there was a need for a customized “business partner” approach versus traditional consulting.
